Parish Family Prayers
February is known in the secular calendar as the 'month of
'. There’s no better way to celebrate and practice this love than praying for Jesus' favorite people: the vulnerable and marginalized!
This week we pray for
the institutionalized; those in nursing homes, foster homes and prisons
Almighty Father, maker of all, you adorn all creation with its splendor and beauty, and fashion human lives in your image and likeness. Awaken in every heart reverence for the work of your hands, and renew among your people a readiness to nurture and sustain your precious gift of life.
For all who are lonely or afraid, for the people in nursing homes, the young in foster homes, the prisoners with no one to visit them, and all whom the world has forgotten. Jesus, help us to see your face in everyone.
Because He loved us first, we seek to do His will and follow Christ, who looked out for the vulnerable and the marginalized: the least, the last, and the lost.
